The Online-Crimes Course aims to develop the understanding around the Online-Crimes context and their framework. Through this course people will be able to identify the Cyber-Crimes and their sources, as well as be familiar with the concept of Internet Safety. The course starts with an introduction to the Online Crimes by analyzing the concept of online crimes. It describes the kinds, categories and types of online crimes, as well as represents tricks on how to recognize them. Furthermore the course portrays the concept of safety on internet.

  • Cybercrime or Online crime or computer-oriented crime is referred to that type of illegal action, in which computer and internet represent the object and the medium, respectively, through which the crime has been conducted;

  • Online crimes are comprised of offences against individuals, government or property, having a criminal motive. They have the intention to harm someone or a group of people emotionally, physically, economically or their reputation;
